Not all Italians are the same. In some pizzerias, you're enticed inside by waiters in shirts with an identical checkered pattern as the tablecloths. The threshold to enter Gran Duca is quite literal: you have to take the elevator to the highest floor of the Hyllit Hotel on De Keyserlei. Figuratively speaking, the threshold isn't too high. When you step out of the elevator, you find yourself in a large and elegant, but not overly formal, restaurant. The natural light and the view toward the Central Station are stunning.
